G73, just try a discount hotel website. There are lots and a google search will bring up what you're looking for if you just do, like, 'hotel discount Miami'. The hard part is, it's Art Basel Miami, and every gallerist and collector will be booking the place out.

Messy, that Versace guy had a friend who lived in a houseboat, didn't he? Maybe the floating pad is up for grabs.

For South Beach hotels, Lex recommends:

Brigham Gardens (reasonable)
The Beachcomber (reasonable)
The Bayliss Guest House (very cheap-no frills)

All three are located in the heart of South Beach within walking distance of Ocean Drive and the gay clubs on Lincoln Road and Washington. Of the three my favorite is Brigham Gardens, it has this private tropical garden exotic plants inside a lovely courtyard area. Enjoy darling.
