I'm going to be taking a "little" trip in August to the land down under. If all goes well I should be hitting Melbourne and Sydney on my trip.
If anyone knows of any tranny clubs I could visit or any trannies or tranny friendly people I may want to hook up with, please let me know.
Also, if by chance anyone is interested in joining me...I'd love the company. In addition to hitting the town, I want to check out some of the sites, so it should be a fun trip.
I'll be sure to keep everyone updated on whatever scene I can scrounge up by posting in this section.
Thanks all!

First stop Melbourne:
Just got back from my first drag show and had a great time.
There's a little place on the outskirts of town called DT's hotel. It's not a hotel, but thats what the call it. Drag shows almost nightly and a drag coctail party next week.
A group of nice ladies called the wizzie wigs performed tonigt. Great costumes and dancing, but that was really it. I'm sorry to say. Well, actually, let me say this: If your going to do a lip sync performance it might be a good idea to know the words and actually move your lips to them. Just my opinion.
Anyway, next stop Sydney. Will fill you all in. I've actually heard that they have some good performers up there, so will see.
PS- Got your newsletter Chi Chi and Daddy and congrats on memeber 900. Keep up the good work!

Hey Sheril,
So far it's been a blast.
Not sure why they call it down under, but I'll make that my next project and find out.

Ok- Nobody, at least out of the 10 or so Australians I asked, really seems to know why its called the land down under. Best we could come up with was that its because it is down under most other continents and countries. Ok- sounds good to me.
Also learned a couple of other things: 1. Lift - Elevator 2. Wanker - Someone who pulls on his penis alot 3. Punter - A fan/someone who attends an event 4. Good on you - Thanks (or something like that) 5. Bogan - White trash without the trailer.
Don't know when I'll be able to get back to the computer, but will try to report on the Sydney club scene when I get there.
So long!

If Australia has any kind of drag and club scene at all then its in Sydney. Anyone of us could feel right at home here.
It seems as though I missed one of their biggest nights though. The "Diva Awards",Australia's version of the "Glammy's, were held at the Town Hall here on Monday Night and it seemed like a pretty big night. They even get TV coverage!
Anyway, today I just cruised around Oxford St. which is kind of a nice East meets West village mix. Came across a couple of cool fetish and drag shops.
The first, I'm sure some of you may have heard of, was called "House of Priscilla." Located on 47 Oxford St. they have anything a drag or club goer could want from glitter to latex. There is a fierce Chewawa guard dog at the top named cinimmon and one of the owners Anthony helped me out. He was still a little hung over from the Diva awards where he won for best designer. That may be the reason I got my hands on a nice blue latex dress for $15 American!
Second stop was the Drag Bag, a second floor establishment run by a woman named Shiali. They as the name implies cater to a drag crowd. She and he biz partner make custom costumes as well as sell the designer stuff. In fact she had designed a lot of the costumes from the Diva awards and was still pretty hung over herself. I'm always a day late!
If your in the neighborhood and care to eat, stop at Cafe Comiti. Great food at ridiculous prices. You'll feel like your in NY!
OK- So tonight I'll check out the club scene. Two stops on my list: 1. The Taxi Club and 2. Stonewall (I think every gay area in the world has one of these and why not?!)
I'll let you know how it goes.

The night life here kicks! Was able to hit both clubs and for a Wed. night Sydney has nothing to be ashamed of.
First stop was Stonewall Hotel. Two floors (I never made it upstairs) of pumping music. Mostly gay and lesbian crowd, loud and fun. A lot bigger than the Stonewall we're used to.
From there it was on to the Taxi Club. Easiest way to describe it...Eidelweiss with slot machines. Not a huge crowd, but there was no show tonight. They do shows on Thur - Sun.
Then there is Victoria St. at William St. This is pretty much the Red Light district of Sydney. If anyone out there can remember Times Square pre "Rudy" this is it. Not as big of course, but seedy and sleazy to the max! Definitly worth checking out after dark if your ever here.
Thats pretty much it. If I had more time to spend I'd be spending it in Sydney, but overall Australia is a great place.
Hope to get back soon.
See you guys at Extra Whiz or at Luxery Lex's, which ever comes first.
