Welcome home Lex...I'm almost sorry it is over as I was enjoying your reportage so very much. I felt as though I had been on vacation with you.

I must say, I am really shocked that you enjoyed being on a cruise... The only one i went on (I didn't pay for it I might add!)... i had to say was THE most depressing experience in the world. Of course the cruise did depart from The States (so that is prob the dif with your cruise). The people were just THE worst. It's as if they emptied out every Shoppin Mall in American and stuffed these people on board. The coach tours when u disembark! After one day of sitting at one of those 'organized' tables I was about to stab everyone... So i ended on getting take out trays and sat in the amazing library which of course was always empty. So all power to you for being a more tolerant person... i swear the next cruise I go on will be cruising down the dock road in Kingston Jamaica! heh heh heh oink...

I liked the underlying tension of all the passed-up opportunities to bonk someone. Sublimating all the sex energy to florid pastoral descriptions that are truely tasty. The post trip cast of character descriptions are great, you can smell the plot of some story right there. I always find that to be one of the best things about trips, the colorful strangers you'll never see again. All in all married life hasn't shrunk your spirit Lex. Its just keeping your sexlife off these pages, that's all.

I suggest Patpong Street for the next trip. I bet your wife throws self-control out the window there.
