does anybody go to this mythic party capital anymore? i've heard carnaval is impossible, but maybe off-season's FABulous, like new orleans used to be?

Please clarify the location you are referring to as a mythic party capital because your topic title states abcnorio, which, for some of us local to NYC, refers to a well known squat/community arts center, which I assume is not the 'elsewhere' you are asking about. So, what party capital exactly is your inquiry about?
