i'm wispering so as to not give away the apparently best kept secret in cincinnati... fridays at jacob's in northside.

we went last night for the first time, and were floored. it was absolutely packed with the best crowd we've seen here in at least 10 years.

50/50 m/f polysexual crowd (oh, and i haven't seen this many punk rock lesbians in one place ever) music ranged from japan's "gentleman take polaroids" to idol's "eyes without a face" to latour's "people are still having sex." Not one song was one that you'd expect to hear at a retro night in cincinnati. it blows vertigo's tuesday night out of the water. the djs told us that they are starting up an industrial/early techno night very soon.

the only negative, was that the bar service was slow and not friendly at best and at times verging on rude,hopefully just because they seemed way under-staffed for the crowd.
