Time for Part 2.

Anna Nicole was talking about Spielberg's "MUNICH".
quote:
was lucky to get too see the new Spielberg epic MUNICH.... really interesting! Beautifully directed, great use of music and excellent acting. Even though its incredibly long its still captures your attention. Of Course its based on the true story of the kidnap of 11 Israeli atheletes at the 1972 Olympics. It opens Dec 23rd... its defo a good 'thriller' but bring sandwiches its a long one! LOL

Brokeback is one of the best movies I have seen in a long while...the acting, especially Heath, is amazing and the scenery to die for...go see it, at once!

Jeez I hated her performance though it was so wooden.. especially the opening almost/rape scene she just didn't seem shocked/scared at all. And her accent was shite... I LOVED the concept of this movie, loved the action scenes... but thought the cinematography lacked luster.. it could have been so epic sooo tormenting really.... to be honest I was more fascinted by Geena Davis... (she sat two rows in front of me at the movies!!)... anyone who's knobbed Jeff Goldblum deserves nuff props. (I bet he's a real deviant in the boudouir)

Ive never liked Natalie Portman, and i agree she wasnt great, accent sucked ,but i wasnt really facinated with her , it was the concept and the feeling i got from the movie itself. I was shocked that a "Holly wood" movie would even explore this area. I love the ending with all the masks, Parliment explosion, etc. i dont know ,something about it got me. it wasnt perfect , but i guess i was expecting something really lame and it surprised me. Im sure if I knew more about the Graphic Novel its based on i might not have liked it, they always change it too much, and i did read the author has removed himself from the film , so that says something. I just was surprised i was surprised, i guess thats all im saying.

I loved "Good Night and Good Luck." I found it very moving and entertaining. I was never so surprised when it was over. It seemed to fly by so fast for me, although I've heard others say how it dragged. I thought it was excellent.

'Brokeback Mountain' is still playing down the street at Third & 11th while all the other Oscar Best Pic nominees are already on DVD. I thoroughly enjoyed Brokeback, but it could've used one quick but hot sex scene. The short story/novella it's based on though is brilliant.

I just 'revisited' Blue Velvet the other week (blokie in LA had never seen it - ahh youth is wasted on the young!).... What a great movie, so twisted and Dennis Hopper is just such a wonderful sick fuck in the role of Frank Booth, oxygen mask, "daddy wants to fuck", Dean Stockwell strung out, Roy Orbison music.... just the whole stylization was fab, i think pretty much after that David Lynch started doing David Lynch movies in some characature fashion after that... but Blue Velvet still to me is classic!

I just saw Basic Instinct and for an afternoon movie trash I enjoyed it.... Stone is out of control... everything for affect! Ham ham ham... she has the skin of an ole chammy leather and delivers every line like she were chi chi reading for verbal abuse... and the surgery shes had is sooo obvious although she will sue anyone who claims that.. but check out her tits (nipples in each shot) her right one is like 4inches higher than her left. Then she has the audacity to do a topless jacuzzi shot and one tit just look so off kilter to the other and her face all Joan Rivered. Anyway, The opening scene is the best. Her in a car speeding grabbing her drugged up dates hands and using them to maker herself cum. Side note- the guy who plays him is famed footballer Stan Collymore (who was recently caught 'doggin' i.e. swinging in public park in some mad gang bang - bless im!).
It would have been a crackin film if they would have cast a young sexy bitch to play her role -
But as it is... she did play it camp as a row of tents that characature performance made it for me!

"The Notorious Bettie Page"
The Movie Website

Well, I went to the premiere last night and here is my review.

1) Our own little Jessica Rabbit Domination is absolutly gorgeous! She doesn't have a big role (she's one of the other pin-up girls) but when she is on the screen she is a total movie star. I just hope some director sees it too and gives her a break.

2) The way it is shot is also absolutly gorgeous. When Bettie is in New York it's shot in black & white but when she goes to Miami it changes to perfect 1950's color. Faboulous!

3) The costumes, make-up and over-all styling are flawless. Kitty Boots couldn't have done it better herself. perfect.

now the problems...

1) The script, screen play, dialogue, all of that are God-awful! It's not even TV movie quality. I think the director also wrote it. Mistake! Such a shame.

2) The music is a sin. SOMEHOW they took a period that is so rich in music (MUSIC THAT YOU CAN GET THE RIGHT$ TO!) and found the most boring crap I've ever heard. I wish Scott Ewalt had done it.
I wish I had done it!

3) The acting is OK, Gretchen Mol is not bad as Bettie. The surprise is Lili Taylor. I think she is a very good actress but in this movie she is terrible. She plays Paula Klaw with the worst New York Jewish accent I've ever heard. It's a scandal. It should have been Jackie Hoffman.

So...
It's a fun movie. Very beautifully shot but I'd wait for the DVD so you can freeze-frame Jessica Rabbit.

Just saw Strangers With Candy. VERY funny, like the show, though some of the after school special saccharine parodies can get a bit thin.

DO see it to catch Dee Finley in a quick cameo as a prison butch beating up Jerri Blank.

Oh...and choreographed by one Richard Move!
