Went to Dietch Projects gallery on Wooster this weekend to view the Sprouse "retrospective". It was cute, but I felt that more could have been added. The clothes were amazing but I know there was so much more that could have been put up, obviously they forgot to contact Lulu for his part of the collection. I also liked how they presented his sketches (under blacklight so the neon would glow), and of course there were the bags for Louis Vuitton which strangely looked out of place (also, they were chained to the wall). All in all it felt sort of strangely sparse, and not as much the in-your-face Sprouse that I remember...perhaps it's because they didn't turn up the music, I mean who plays the Buzzcocks as ambient music?! In a somewhat disappointed state, my friend and I decided to walk to Century 21 to see if Spring had arrived when I chanced upon this phone booth! This is the first time I've seen it out and about (except for the discussions on the boards)and believe me I've been looking, on the side of buses, bus stops, constructions site scaffolding, etc.! I thought it was worth a photo op.
ps. The phone booth is on Broadway after (or before) White Street which also happens to be...where the Mudd Club was...kismet you think?

I realized how silly it was of me to talk about a show without showing pictures so here is a sampling of the exhibit. You know Miss Understood, I did notice that some Daffy's ads were on the bus shelters, Daddy should have insisted they put him in one of those instead of the phone booth.
