If his allegations are true, I think it is simply awful the way Liza Minnelli has abused David Gest. Yikes, talk about spousal abuse and harsh domestic violence! I don't care if life is a CAB-O-RAY-O or not, how could Liza do this to poor David?

Mr. Gest probably married Madame Liza for the wrong reason. Being the Broadway queen he so obviously is, he probably panicked when he realized she wasn't going to just sing for him, but wanted him to "put his wang in her fish pocket" (suppositional phrasing by me as a direct quote of Gest's). Loving Liza is fine and dandy, but actually LOVING Liza, well, filing allegations of abuse was more palatable.

(which i have never had b4 and shocked that my cold fast turned into that!)... this month told me of fab new proffesional future new job offers etc... which i pooh poohed as I am just not interviewing for any new gig.... until the other day - by chance ran into an ole pal who works at this FAB big magazine (which i LOVE) and guess what got me in today for an interview... HOW bizzare is astrology zone as i read now that Johnny and Chi Chi ... you too are being offered loads of new work too! Fingers and toes crossed i get this gig ... it would be an amazing gig! (Off to Jamaica next wk...does it say anything about the big bamboo on astrology zone.... in the words of 'our friend' - "oh nevermind"

CAMBRIDGE, England -- News reports in England say police are looking into an allegation of assault.

The victim is said to be astrophysicist Stephen Hawking.

The Daily Mirror newspaper says nursing staff contacted police over the summer -- after Hawking was left stranded in his garden on the hottest day of the year.

It said Hawking, who is paralyzed and uses a wheelchair, suffered severe heatstroke and sunburn.

The newspaper also said that a few years ago, family and medical staff had contacted police about some unexplained injuries to Hawking -- but that police dropped the investigation when Hawking refused to make a complaint.

Hawking has three children from his first marriage. He left his first wife for his nurse -- whom he married in 1995.

Sounds like wifey has a temper.
