I was beginning to wonder if S'tan had been reborn in the name of Jesus when I saw the last line of her post crediting the Church of God in Christ Mennonite. Whew! That was a close one.
Daddy, I remember when you were five times as hot way before Dynasty, on Big Valley, (cast headed by an acheingly butch domme Barbara Stanwyck stomping around in boots and tight riding pants, often with crop in hand) and even a bit further back in the plotless twink and jiggle vehicle the Franky Avalon and Annette Funicello pic, Beach Blanket Bingo, when your stage name wasn't Linda Evans, it was Linda Evanstad and you played a character called Sugar Kane! Makes Heather Lock- uh, I mean Sammy Jo, look like a smurf.

For Time Warner customers in NY u might like to look at BBC On Demand right now they are showing (for free) some Eddie Izzard specials.. worth catching (seeing as there is NOTHING on the telly these days).
BBC America shows some interesting programs, Footballers wives being one of them, as well as Little Britain, and old classic Britcoms like AB FAB (a favorite) and Are You Being Served? as well as really bizarre sitcoms like Spaced and Peep Show. and there was a drama that just premiered over her caled (get this!) Life On Mars where this police officer guy goes back in time for some reason from 2006 to 1973. Funny stuff I noticed during this one was the guy driving his car listing to Bowie"s "Life on Mars?" downloaded from a Best of Bowie Cd into his iPod then he's suddenly transported to 1973 and his car is different and has an 8-track player playing the song form the original album it was on!---Very strange and interesting.
If you get a chance catch The Travel Show's "Bob Geldof in Africa" really excellent doc about the country... articulate and funny, great camera work and none of yer standard shit. And of course I am bias if it weren't for Mr.G I wouldn't be here in America!
As you all know, I don't have much of a life... and am really enjoying the DVR telly that I tape (tivo for the Time warner kids). So I tape Oprah it's great late night veg telly... and I have to say how shocked how religious that show has become.... almost each episode these days it becomes some baptist church .. her saying how its all the Grace or God, the Hand of God or Gods prayers and telling guests how lucky they were to have 'jesus in their hearts' - Jeez ... am drained by it all.... but I guess this IS the country that is funding an abstenance program for the under 30 year olds! urg.
Oprah is al right but she's a bit annoying as well. I like Gayle better. Did you see the footage from O & G's road trip? O, that O is such a whiny diva! I have nothing bad to say about divas just that Gayle probably wanted to punch her! But I don't sing to Celine Dion, Cher, yes, Whitney , maybe, Celine, no.
Love reruns of Frasier, and also Golden Girls "Picture it....Sicily...1927..."
BBC America is reruning episode of Spaced, Peep Show and the Robinsons and Hardware (the latter two are with Martin Freeman of the British Office--cutie pie, he's a comic genius, that makes him sexy in my book) I also watch My Family and the Worst Week Of My Life.
I try to catch the American version of the Office too, I like it more and more, but the original rocks.
I'm digging Bad Girls, this British show about women in a women's prison, and the staff that runs it. It's being shown on LOGO butI remember it being first on BBC America. It seems that everyone male or feamle has same-sex tendencies in lock-up or lockdown, whatever the correct term is. Prison doth make lovers of the same sex of us all. Sex is sex no matter what the gender!
I agree Madge. I just caught a few minutes of it but it's pretty raw!
Sarah is talking to a class room of 4th graders... "Some day they will put a man with AIDS on the moon. Then one day they can put everyone with AIDS on the moon"
Daddy I love it that yer girl from Reno show turned up on the red carpted like this for the movie premier. (There are just SO few comediens who do PHYSICAL comedy here.. like sarah silverman they all end up wanting to look 'hot' at the end of the day. I miss the French and Saunders mentality here).
Niecy Nash is so cool, she can clean my house anytime! (that wasn't supposed to be sexual by the way, get your heads out of the gutter.) About Sarah Silverman....What's her appeal, other that she's fucking Jimmy Kimmel? She's OK I guess. That whole AIDS on the moon thing was funny , but only if she meant it to be ironic or satirical. Love Reno 911 though. Does anyone remember a sketch show on MTV a few years back called The State? It has some of the people that are on Reno 911 and as well as Michael Ian Black, and those people. I'd like to see it on DVD. A friend of mine had to get them on videos, on blank tapes from some guy on eBay, it's that rare!.
