Well the film was a document reflecting a period of time now gone forever. I usually hate every 'popular' show on network TV, but I actually think I like Ugly Betty. I've never seen a show that has a 12 year old gay!...from Queens! like ME! ha ha

My mother's a fan. I usually watch The Office (American version), Scrubs and 30 Rock at that time or possibly a rerun of Bad Girls on LOGO.
But I haven't watched Ugly Betty. I think for "Betty" to be truly ugly, they need to get an actress that IS ugly, not some hot Latina bombshell made up to look ugly to perpetuate the stereotypical ugly girl that we are so accustomed to on TV in in film.

Hey anyone like EastEnders? my PBS channel airs in now at 10 PM on Tuedays. The problem is that we are 5 or 6 years behind the Brits! They are showing episodes from 2001 still. I had a heart attack when I heard Kylie's "Can't Get You Out Of My Head" in a cafe scene! That song won't go away!, but you know you love it.

Well, I've never met the person live. And teevee can be verry selective in what is shown about a person. But I just remember seeing something a while back about the launch of her personalized cell phone. She said it was part of an 'aspirational lifestyle'. Meaning all the underclass aspire to spend $650 on a Kimora phone and forget about this month's rent.

But you would think that if she is a really nice person, with all the untold amounts of airtime she's had, at least ten seconds of nice would have made it on to the airwaves.

I've had little time for TV lately, though I did catch an epi of Scott Baio is 45 and am happy he's still cute. There's hope!

Sadly finding myself slightly bored with 'Damages' on F/X starring my hero Glenn Close. She should have better hair, for starters. I've admired F/X in the past for its racy, HBO-worthy content ... perhaps the show will pick up. In the meantime I'll stay rapt for the remainder of the summer watching The Devil Wears Prada on Movies on Demand and call it day.

I hardly watch anything mid wk but my guilty pleasure is an apres the gym chill out of a sat afternoon with all the DVR's shit I have stored - Anthony Bourdains new series, Confessions of a Matchmaker (A&E), Scott Baio (classic so depressing to see what a bitter sad lost bastard he is), The First 48 (A&E) and Footballers Wives (BBC America) looks like the new BBC series Hotel Babylon looks like good trash, can't wait. Graham Norton can be quite good veg out fun too. Otherwise there's little I enjoy.

PS I also tape from time to time Maury ... for those classic Paternity episodes ...its a sick guilty pleasure of mine.

It was the tiniest slice of reality in the otherwised business cold show...
I was reading Perez Hilton today an all the comments section about Amy was about how terrible it was that they gave her a grammy as shes a drug addict... when the fuck does being on drugs have ANYTHING to do with your talent merit for being awarded a Grammy.
