Hello, Enchanted Ones, and greetings from New York City. It's that time again, and as promised we are giving you LOTS more notice this year of the date for the 2004 NOTS. We have selected Friday, May 14, 2004 for this fourteenth edition, at a legendary NY venue that is new for the event. Before finalizing everything, we wanted to let this list know, in case anyone knows of another East Coast Stevie/Fleetwood conflict for that night. If you know of one, please write back as soon as possible. Unless there IS such a conflict, expect a formal announcement of the date, place and details within the week!

Returning and would-be performers, please read down for more information. To all the Gypsies Who Remain - we'll be right back in touch, and thanks for your amazing dedication to this show year after year - your enthusiasm and love is the real treasure of NOTS. We look forward to seeing all of you on another Enchanted Evening this May!

If you are a NOTS veteran performer who would like to return this year, please contact us, with or without song choices, so we can save space. If you have already contacted us and not received a response, you do NOT need to write again and we will be contacting you shortly.

If you have never performed at NOTS and are interested in joining the bill this year, please contact us using one of the methods below. We must hear from you by March 15 to be considered for this year's edition, as space is limited. Please note that lip-synch and other forms of performance (dance, production numbers, live instruments) are most welcome - this is not strictly a "live vocals" show nor is it karaoke. We are interested in great entertainment that pays homage to Stevie across a wide spectrum of disciplines. We can not accomodate bands or elaborate technical requests, and performances must be 6 minutes or under.

New Performers Include The Following:

1) Your performer's name, where you are from, level of experience
performing Stevie, and whether you have ever attended NOTS before.

2) Picture or pictures of you (MAXIMUM of three, please) in costume
as Stevie, or a link to a website containing such pictures or video
clips.

3) Optional But Helpful:

Send us snailmail including cassette or CD of live vocals, video/dvd of performance, mpegs or other sound files - or email us links to web pages containing same. Do NOT send large video or MPEG files as attachments unless we request them. Please note that items can not be returned, so don't send originals!

There's a whole lot of twirling going on around here, as we're coming up on a month before this year's NIGHT. In our last newsletter we announced the addition of Very Special Guest BOY GEORGE, and due to the large amount of mail we've gotten on this, we wanted to elaborate on what he's doing - he will perform ONE song - and it will be FLEETWOOD MAC, as himself (not as THE TWIN, one of his current musical projects.)

The other big news at this writing is that the film GYPSY 83, which was inspired by NOTS and the Gypsies who travel in from near and far, opens this Friday, April 16 in NYC. See the GYPSY 83 topic in this forum for more, and check out the trailer at Gypsy83.com.

This year's NOTS theme is "GATE AND GARDEN", echoing all the gardens, bouquets, roses and baby's breath featured in Stevie's songs. Performers include event founder CHI CHI VALENTI, co-producer HATTIE HATHAWAY and a phantasmagoria of Legends - over thirty-five performers on two stages. Look for AMBER GARBO (New Hampshire), master puppeteer BASIL TWIST and "Little Stevie Nicks", BELLADONNA (Santa Barbara), BOY GEORGE, BRIGIT BRAT (San Francisco), DOLLY DOMINATION, JADE BARBEE, JESSICA RABBIT DOMINATION, JIMMY JAMES, JONNY TINGLE and MAX, JUSTIN BOND, KEN MELLMAN, LISA JACKSON and STEVE GIB, LIZZIE DAVIS (Flower Mound, Texas), MISS GUY of The Toilet Boys, NICOLE NICKS, "Paris Is Burning" star SADE PENDAVIS, SWEETIE, ST. EVE, THE HO-HO'S (Cathy Cervanka, Jill Pangello and troupe) and THE STEVIE NICKS EXPERIENCE (Des Moines.).

Our all-Stevie/Fleetwood DJs for the evening have all been with the show for five years or more, from Main Floor Wizard CRAIG SPENCER (of Pork) who spins his special remixes on the main dancefloor, to POISON EVE, who will play the Main Floor from 9-11 AND the downstairs Lounge from midnight to 2 AM. Stevie archivist BILLY O. will create his much-loved Stevie soundtrack early and late in the Lounge, on his NOTS 10th Anniversary!
