Greetings from New York City to our beloved Gypsies, fellow Stevie Nicks worshippers and all who have joined our newsletter since last year's NOTS. We are delighted to announce the date for our sixteenth annual NIGHT OF A THOUSAND STEVIES. This year's show will be held on Friday, May 19 at the legendary NYC performance club THE KNITTING FACTORY, scene of the past two editions. We thank you for your patience in waiting for the date to be announced - this is now such a complicated production that we had to make extra sure. Again we promise multiple rooms and floors for your twirling pleasure, including a Stevie-themed lounge with its intimate Cabaret Stage, and balcony viewing of the Main Stage.

This year's theme is STEVIE IN WONDERLAND, an homage to her "Red Stevie/ Stevie In Wonderland" persona, introduced on her 1989 album THE OTHER SIDE OF THE MIRROR. We expect interpretations of many of the great songs from that album (including ALICE, which will open the show) along with the pantheon that are performed every year. And from a fashion standpoint - if you ever wanted to wear red velvet to NOTS this would be the year for it! We are expecting another star-studded year and will have first news of the lineup in our next email, or visit the ENCHANTED GYPSIES forum on THE MOTHERBOARDS (motherboardsnyc.com).

We are again expecting a record number of returning Stevie Legends this year, but still want to provide the platform for new performers and interpretations. If you are a new performer who has already written to us since last year's show, you don't need to do anything - you will be receiving email with instructions in the next few days. If you haven't yet contacted us, please visit our website AFTER FEBRUARY 1 for details at www.mothernyc.com/ stevie and then get in touch. (We will ask you to send along materials either via email or snailmail - these can include recordings, footage, photos, web links, etc.)

Night of a Thousand Stevies is probably the best-known Stevie Nicks fan event in the world, a riot of shawls, lace, baby's breath, twirling, tambourines and great performance. This event began at JACKIE 60 sixteen years ago with four performers, and has grown into a true spectacle, featuring countless interpretations over a marathon night. As always, this Enchanted evening will climax in a twirl of shawls and tambourines with the Battle of a Thousand Stevies near morning.

Dress: Like a White Winged Dove, in Wonderland: Red velvet Edwardian gowns, red ribbon-trimmed tambourines, Enchanted Eveningwear, red lace, velvet capes and cloaks, Mad Hatter Top Hats, ruched boot covers, hearts, Stevie/Alice In Wonderland morphs, Fleetwood "The Dance" menswear, or Victorian mirrors. Total Stevie Realness (All Periods).

As we prepare for a truly magical night, we are humbled by the very special joy and tremendous support that you bring to NOTS every year. We are adding performers almost every day at this point, but wanted to share the roster thus far. Confirmed performers already include

Our confirmed debuts this year are JAZMEN FLOWERS (Mississippi), DAPHNE DEL VARGO (San Francisco) and TAMMY FAYE STARLITE.

THE JACKIE FACTORY's sixteenth annual STEVIE NICKS extravaganza NIGHT OF A THOUSAND STEVIES will be held on Friday, May 19 at THE KNITTING FACTORY NYC, scene of the past two editions. Born at tiny JACKIE 60 in 1990 with four extraordinary performers, the night has grown to include countless interpretations from all over the White Winged World. This year's theme is STEVIE IN WONDERLAND, an homage to her "Red Stevie/ Stevie In Wonderland" persona, introduced on the 1989 album THE OTHER SIDE OF THE MIRROR.

The bill for STEVIE IN WONDERLAND is jammed full, with thirty acts in three sets, including "Enchantresses of Ceremony" CHI CHI VALENTI (founder) and BELLADONNA (Santa Barbara), event co-producer HATTIE HATHAWAY (currently appearing on Broadway in THE THREEPENNY OPERA), founding performers JOEY ARIAS (current star of Cirque de Soleil's ZUMANITY in Las Vegas) and Homocore Icon DEAN JOHNSON. It also includes Returning Legends of Stevie Realness SWEETIE, SHERRY VINE, NICOLE NICKS, AMBER GARBO (Las Vegas), THE HO-HOS (CATHY CERVENKA and JILL PANGELLO), TEXXX, JESSICA RABBIT DOMINATION, BILLY O, invite cover girl BROOKE (Tennessee), ST. EVE, PURPLE GYPSY, SISTER CODIE, THE DIVINE GRACE, THE STEVIE NICKS EXPERIENCE (Des Moines), VELOCITY CHYALDD of VULGARAS, JADE BARBEE, MISTRESS MIWA (San Francisco), GYPSY WILD, DOLLY DOMINATION and JONNY TINGLE.

Every edition of NOTS also includes dazzling debuts, and this years are Toilet Boy MISS GUY, dragstar JAZMEN FLOWERS (Jackson, Miss), Butoh dance company VANGELINE THEATER, STARLESS SKYE, CHARLENE CORAN (Reno) and MIRROR IN THE SKY, a weekly Fleetwood Mac tribute night in Asbury Park. After a record number of new performers applying to the show this year, expect greatness!

Legendary NOTS DJs CRAIG SPENCER and POISON EVE will also be back this year for the all-night Stevie/Fleetwood dancefloor that you crave. In addition, the Lounge will feature two new "Stevie Spinners", including DJ JOEL, a longtime NOTS Gypsy who will play rare nuggets from 9-11. The gifted NOTS production team once again includes EDITRIX ABBY, GODDESS DIANA, DANY JOHNSON and TORIN - who make the magic happen from backstage.

We know that alot of you have specific Legends of Stevie Realness that you come to see, so here is a breakdown of performers by Act. Those of you who come every year know that we start on time or very close to it!

Act One (Begins 10:30)

Stevie Nicks Experience (opens show), Starless Skye, Dean Johnson, Gypsy Wild, Sherry Vine, Miss Guy, Charlene Coran, Mirror in the Sky, Jazmen Flowers, Sweetie and Chi Chi Valenti

Act Two (Begins midnight)

The Ho Hos, Billy O, St. Eve, Seaman and Queerfunkel, Jessica Rabbit Domination, Nicole Nicks, Vangeline Theater, Stevie Nicks Experience, Amber Garbo and Belladonna

Act Three (Begins 1:30)

Hattie Hathaway, The Divine Grace, Joey Arias, Texxx, Brooke, Sister Codie, Johnny Tingle, Purple Gypsy, Velocity Chyaldd and the Battle of 1000 Stevies (finale)

No! Please no!!! I'm coming from California just for this event. Say it isn't so!

No we are not yet sold out, though we are steadily getting there - so if you are coming (especially from so far away) please buy them in the next few days - we are not sure there will be any left after the weekend.

Regardless, after the advance tickets sell out we do always leave 100 for sale at the door - but you must come early to take advantage of these, they are first come, first served.
