Chi Chi, Daddy, and those a thousand fabulous Stevies, Thank you so- much for another really beautiful NOTS I was way far from the stage but still could take some wonderland pics, and here is the first one.
How could we be sleeping Bobby? Highlights for me: Of course, the Ho Ho's and St. Eve's multimedia extravaganzas, Amber Garbo's "Sisters Of the Moon" tour de force, Vangeline's butoh, Jonny Tingle's call-and-response singalong with the audience to "Freefalling"... But most especially Velocity Chyalld's show-stopping burlesque to Stevie's rare version of "At Last!" What a great performer! Oh, and Cyndi Lauper's beautiful energy (and patience with the legions of fans) when she popped by to visit, Nellie McKay and Brian Charles Rooney from Threepenny staying to the glorious end and enjoying every act, Andrea Bouze-wah climbing to the rafters at 4 AM to strike the decor garlands, when all of us were much too wobbly... the list goes on. Oh and me, in a gorge red dress done by the amazing Lix, jumping from stage and bouncing that really drunk girl who was torturing performers and onlookers alike...
of course there was much more!
And now, it's time to make those other donuts, oy!

The Hohos want to say THANK YOU for a great time and for all the compliments we received for our number. We are honored to be a part of such a legendary night that continues to be the BEST party in NYC every year! We too are looking forward to seeing photos, so if you have Hoho photos - please send to me! In the meantime, here's a link to the video of our song: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=GXB8eW5WOjg
Enjoy it before Disney finds us.....
Rock a little - see you next year! Love to ChiChi, Johnny and Hattie for all the amazing work!

What a night. Glad it's over for another year. If I hear one more Stevie Nicks song I'm gonna scream!
Well, here's how it started... The night sold out 5 minutes after we opened the doors! NIGHTMARE!!! I always tell everyone get your tickets in advance, some people never listen. I hope everyone eventually got in.
The crowd looked really great this year. Every year more and more people have fun and dress up. This year the "Alice" theme was fun for people. Lots of Mad Hatters etc.
Everyone has their favorite stage moments, my favorite shows were... The Ho Ho's, Velocity Chyalld, St. Eve's, Amber Garbo, Vangeline Domination, Jonny Tingle, Texxx & Musqurat and of course Joey, Sherry and Dean always bring a tear to me eye.

Sorry some of the posts got out of order when I moved them from the old topic, just the usual unexplainable Stevie Magick I guess...
Thank you to every single performer, DJ and helper. Thanks to every audience member EXCEPT the pesky (Australian?) woman who was alternately passing out on the lip of center stage, or trying to grab my ankles for support whenever I leaned into the crowd. Judy Vee, thanks for the flowers, Vangeline, thanks for delivering so beautifully on my "Butoh Stevie" mad fantasy, and to the staff of Knitting Factory, your support and hard work is a big addition to The Night.
But most of all, huge bouquets to our extraordinary crew, who work so hard for such a marathon sixteen-hour afternoon and Night, and rarely get as much as a twirl out of it! This year, with a show way too crowded with acts, they had an especially daunting job. But Dany, Lori, Abby, Diana, Torin et al you, along with Monsieur Dynell, handled it with grace - you are the true unsung heroes and sheroes of NOTS. Our decor crew - Pablo, Muffin, Rami, Belladonna and Amber, also turned it out on a difficult day.
The Other Side of the Mirror Tour was the first live Stevie show I ever attended (Jones Beach) and Rags Raglin and I drove in a howling thunderstorm with tornado warnings to attend. Things had gotten torrential by the time we entered the parking lot, and people were dressed in black plastic garbage bags. We went to our seats anyway, fifteen minutes before curtain. Ten minutes before the show, the rain stopped, the wind quieted, and a gorgeous big full moon came up. Stevie opened with "Outside The Rain", and the weather behaved perfectly for the rest of the night.
I share this story so you'll understand why I wasn't surprised that it torrentially poured all day and early evening, on and off, nor that it cleared beautifully right before showtime, and stayed that way.
Russell also sends his best to his ever-growing legion of fans.
Till The Edge of Seventeen...
