I'm in California and I heard about NOTS eight years ago and I've always wanted to go. This year will be the year! I have a question, though. Is there going to be any sort of "bag check" at the club? I don't want to wear my platforms to and from the club as I'll be doing lots of walking, so I was wanted to bring extra shoes. Of course I don't want to carry them around all night.

Any help would be appreciated.

Thanks a lot! Is there anything else that would be helpful for a first timer to know? Also, I'll be in midtown before the event. Can anyone tell me the best way to get down to the Knitting Factory from there. Bus? Cab?

1 train to Franklin St, A,C,E,N,R,Q,W,J, M, Z and 6 to Canal. Take the #6 or the #1 bus that says South Ferry and get off on the Franklin Street stop.

Or...
just take a cab there and back.
It might add another $20.00 to your NYC trip but it will be A LOT easier.

Or... just stand on the corner of 40th and 10th Avenue with your thumb out and of course your full Stevie apparel. You'll get somewhere verrry fast tho it might not be NOTS!
