First of all I would like to say that it was an honor to have been selected to perform at NOTS 12. I had waited for several years to be able to make my first trip to New York City and attend this event of events and I returned home with a heart filled with much Stevie-love and great memories of some wonderful, beautiful and talented Stevie Nicks fans. I will never forget the experience...
All of the fellow performers were wonderful and the ones I was fortunate enough to meet were very sweet and very gracious. I was a bit disconcerted that someone would yell "Go home!" after "The Enchantress" and I performed our sound checks around 4:30 p.m. the afternoon of the event (we were under the impression that the "Battle of the Stevies" was the only contest-type portion of the event?) My associates and I were also "put off" by the fact that, everytime the waitress came down to the dressing room to bring our drinks he/she would state, "I'm not climbing up and down these stairs for a mear $3.00!!!" I guess we were put off because we are from the south, but neither of these tragic happenings were able to spoil our grand times...
I was totally floored by the introduction that Chi Chi gave me, which I guess, was why I never noticed that one of the organizers/fellow performers came onto the stage and swithched microphones on me before I began my performance. It was only after the fact that several people informed me that they felt that the new microphone wasn't as loud or that it wasn't compatable with the music I was singing with... I actually never noticed.
Anyway, I was so thrilled and honored to have been selected to perform that nothing was able to bring me down to earth... I'm still flying high! I am honored to have been within the line-up of so many eclectic and talented individuals and I will treasure the experience for the rest of my life.
My GrandMother's serious illness (she passed away on June 18th and our hearts are broken...) almost kept me from attending, but I flew to NY on Friday the 10th at her urging (she knew how long I had waited) and was back at her bedside by the evening of the 11th. I never mentioned it at the time, but I mention it now... My performance that night was for her!
I thank everyone who worked so very hard on making NOTS 12 such a resounding success. The venue was a bit too small to fit all the great fans, guests, etc... but the evening was total magic for everyone I am sure.
Much Stevie-love to everyone and may God bless!
Love, Prel
PS Kelly ("The Enchantress") - Once again, as a representative of "The Blue Lamp Tour", you did us proud!
To everyone - Please forgive me for posting the little blue sad face... I am writing to you via webtv and on my screen the icon appears simply to be a pretty little blue orb. I chose it because I love blue but Kelly informed me that it was a sad face. Sorry...

Welcome to the Motherboards! As the massive NOTS topic from 2002 has just been taken down and archived, we have moved your new topic on the event to our "Hopelessly Devoted" fan forums.
Enjoy!

...to the corner of her mouth and dropped to the floor..."
The Committe, the crew and most expecially the cast of "The Blue Lamp Tour" would like to take this opportunity to extend our warm regards and love and to send all our best wishes to all New Yorkers!
Without your consent, you were the chosen ones to suffer this terrible attack on our country and you have endured and made us all very proud to call you our fellow Americans. You are not alone.
Please continue to live in the light and the Stevie-love that brings us all together...
The "Timeless Angels of the Blue Lamp" pause in rememberance on this day and we will never forget your great city and its spirit which has become a symbol for us all as you show us how to walk through our lives with dignity and with our heads held high.
