Debbie looked amazing! (Jackie 60 legend Johnny "Rocks" Reinhold had the exact same outfit -made by Designer Todd Thomas. He also did Rob Roth's "Screen Test" costumes). As the Empress said, we were coming from a masked Venetian Ball.
Here is a pic from the ball.
The Empress, Miss Understood, Daddy (and I don't know who the girl in lavender is)
Greetings all! Since we have a couple more weeks of holiday cheer to brew over, you should be privy to what we're cooking up over here at 200 Avenue A.
Ongoing: Do you have a last-minute quandary as to what to pick up for the friend, family or co-worker that you forgot to check off your list? Stop by and peruse our hand-picked selection of books, magazines or some sweet treats from the Protein Bakery! Mr. Joe recommends: Chocolate Chocolate Cherry Cookie, Fireside Chai tea by Zhena's Gypsy Tea, and an hour or so curled up with a copy of Scar Tissue, the autobiography by Red Hot Chili Peppers' red hot Anthony Keidis.
The Empress and I just got back from doing our last minute shopping at RAPTURE. It was very fun and festive. Lots of VERY interesting people coming in and out. It was sort of like "Borders" meets "One Flew Over The Coo Coo's Nest".
Really good Coffee BTW. I can't wait til you get food!
This has already become quite the nutty neighborhood hang out. I expect to see "The Purples" any moment. (Do they still live in New York? How could they?)
Also, I have an idea for a gallery show that I would like to do. (Spring?) I would love to show some of my fave Jackie 60 invites. I think they would be fun to see now.
(Especially in an era where parties are called things like "Nothing Tuesdays at Nowhere" or "Nobody Cares Wednesdays at Who Care's" or "Stupid Thursdays at Hideous". I mean can't people think of something more interesting than the day of the week at the venue?)
Who do I have to sleep with? Who is the museum director?

When I said "Nowhere" I didn't mean The Fab bar on 14th Street that happens to be called "Nowhere". (That bar is part of our extended family). I also wasn't dishing Drama Queen's "Motown Mondays at Nowhere" (also part of the family).
Though I hate the name, I think the idea for the party AND the party itself is a lot of fun! There are so many great Motown titles. It could have been one of them. like "LOVE HANGOVER" or something like that.
Oh Daddy, I am so sorry I missed you and The Empress! (I was downstairs tweaking my iMac.)
Mr. Joe and I would love to have the invite show-- or any other.
Though I agree with you about party names, there might be something to be said in favor of "hitting them over the head." I will never say it though, obscurantist that I am.
BTW the Purples have been in several times already!
Oh, Daddy! I went home for a nap and heard you and Chi Chi had dropped in. Have a fabulous holiday! I love love the idea for an Jackie 60 invite show.
We are getting quite the number of freaks, ex-junkies, prostitutes, the last East Village holdouts who still have a rent-controlled apartment for 30 years in the neighborhood and artists of all ilk coming in for java and such. It's gonna be a great year. I can smell it...
Seriously, I would LOVE to see a CLICK & DRAG invite show. They were beautiful. But you should also show the video loops that went with them. If you even saved any!!!!!
Let's have a Goodie Xtravaganza! The second I get back to town I'm going to zoom right over. The idea of freaks and prostitutes with my coffee makes my purr motor roar. And I hope everyone is looking at what great books there are in that place.
