Ok, I just got off the TTY with Sammy and it is indeed the much-anticipated return of DJ Pickles (Sammy), plus Thick Tony AND Vienna Sausage at Gary 49 on Aug 24th! While it has not yet been confirmed he believes that the Pride Lounge will be reopened due to the stink made by the public for its return. Pickles and Vienna actually just shared the stage at the 2nd annual Love Ball in Barcelona. Ai carumba!

The Pride Lounge opened again last night and was it stinky!

DJ Pickles had everybody singing along to the sickest new wave crap since Danceteria.
Aimee Phillips go go danced in heels on a wobbly speaker (holding on to the top of the toilet stall for dear life) for about 4 hours straight. Macky danced on the sink (and broke it) sending water onto the floor about an inch deep. It's a good thing that there were no electrical wires from the DJ set up sitting in the water as Pickles and I stood in the water DJing.
Well, it's a good thing we didn't die because that's exactly what happened.

Pickles (Sammy Jo), Vienna Sausage (Peter Rauhofer) and I, Thick Tony (Johnny Dynell) took turns playing in the main room and then The Pride Lounge (the toilet). Sammy Jo played all New Wave in The Pride Lounge and I treated the visitors to the bathroom (powdering their noses) to an all Latin set. (Or as I call it "casting my net")
Peter never got to play in The Pride Lounge however because Sammy and I wouldn't give up our spots. (Peter was going to play Big Room Roxy Anthems one right after the other).
"The Pride Lounge", or as Sammy is calling it now, "The Toilet Sessions" is out of control and THE hottest DJ gig in the city!

The other day this guy stopped me on the street and said, "Hey aren't you that guy that Djs in the toilet"?
I was so proud to say, "Why yes I am".

Oh Tones, I am just barely recovering from seeing all ya'll on Friday night! What fun! The Toilet Sessions will become the new hot club I think. Maybe it will even get a nod from Paper Magazine or an HX Award. It truly deserves it. And for a dj it's gotta be the ultimate gig cause you couldn't be more "among the people" than in that booth.

Highlight of the night.....Sledgehammer by Peter Gabriel. It was intergalactic.

Can't wait for the next Toilet Sessions! I'm bringing a good buddy of mine; he's recently unemployed, has a lot of time on his hands and when I told him about this he just about lost it!

Last Friday I was taking a dump at Gary 49 (I really wish they wouldn't cut the coke with baby laxative, it's embarrassing) when all of a sudden the dude in the stall next to me... that guy in the picture... starts rubbing his foot up against mine. I was like, "Dude, get your stink foot away from mine. Then he got down on the floor and tried to crawl into my stall. I was like "Dude, get that big light bulb head of yours outta my stall before I pee on it"!
He was all. "Please Please use me. I'm just a urinal that needs filling".
So I did.

Though the article doesnt make it clear, the staff was arrested on something called "criminal nuisance". They were held for almost a day and a half while being processed. What the bleep is criminal nuisance? I thought that was the equivalent of vandalism..please elaborate, those of greater legal savvy.
