SATURDAY APRIL 2 - THE MISS UTOPIA PARKWAY PAGEANT Tonight's edition of UTOPIA PARKWAY imagines a beauty pageant on the three Method Go-Go platforms in the Reed Room. Dozens of dancers, performance artists and actors are styled by THE JACKIE FACTORY each month for this Saturday series, so imagining one "Miss Utopia Parkway" is challenging. Is she the willowy butoh queen VANGELINE DOMINATION, Latina Mami CATHY VALDEZ, chorus girl LESLIE LOVELY, Bad Girl LIX VELVET DOMINATION or ballerina YUKIKO ? Producer CHI CHI VALENTI has selected some of her favorite new performers at the Saturday night weekly for this ambient contest, and they will man the platforms in pageant finery, sashes and finally, crowns.
