hi everyone-yeah i wanted to change my avatar to a cute lil pic of me--i read and re-read and re-re-read the posts on how to do this but i just COULD NOT find a place in the edit avatar window to place a picture URL! can someone please give me some assistance! I would really appreciate it.

Hi Queenjosh-

Thanks to you and the several other members who alerted me to this bug.

I think it had to do with the fact that custom avatars used to be a perk only available to paid subscribers a few years back. Though we had adjusted the permissions to include all registered users, we had missed one which was preventing non Board Members from designating a custom avatar.

Anyhoo, it now seems fixed and I apologize for the problem.

So, to edit your avatar/add a custom avatar -

Go Menu/Personal Zone/Profile/
View/Edit Complete Profile (link at upper right of Profile window)
Edit Avatar/Use Custom Avatar

Sorry again for the added frustration, but it took a bit of searching to see what was wrong..

First of all josh, what are the dimensions in pixels of that image? Since avatar image is 48 x 48 pixels square, you need a small square image to be successful.
