Hi everyone, katrina here. Ive "met" some of you when you had a registration question or tech problem on the Motherboards. Ive been helping out with the moderating here in NYC Nightclubs and Events.
Since there are many new producers and promotors here I wanted to remind you that we very much need your help to sustain the upkeep and growth of these boards. Our server and maintenance costs grow as we do, and there is no discount for fabulousness on our bills for bandwidth or the occasional consultants that we use for upgrades and server-end tweaks.
If you REGULARLY post and promote your events here, and value this very special and free place that exposes your night(s) to tens of thousands of like-minded people every month, we urge you to buy a Board Membership for either $30 (personal) or $55 (business = venue, shop, etc.) a year. That is $2 or $5 a month - surely you value us that much!
Board membership also upgrades you to allow the posting of images right from your computer and several other features that you might find very helpful in building your night.

Posting to the Motherboards is so worth the $25 a year. Chi Chi, Johnny and all of the moderators are providing a priceless service to our community. Thank you!
And thanks also to this week's other new board members Judy Vee and fluffernutter. The money is very helpful, especially with a huge (and exciting) upgrade coming in November, but when you "put your money where your mouth is" it is also a sign of respect for the community, and makes everyone who works on The Boards feel great!
Dont forget when you join the boards to send us your username so we can rightfully place the "board member" title under your name.
Some of you dont do this even when we write and ask you to, and since some of our Board members choose to be anonymous, we dont automatically search to match your email address with a username - besides it is often different than your Paypal address.
So, if you want our members to know that you support us, do take a minute and write!
Thanks to all the promoters and producers and just plain folks who have become Board Members lately, and all of you who have renewed your memberships lately. It really helps as we approach another major upgrade, coming in November/December.
To clear up any confusion:
If you are a nightclub or other venue, restaurant, magazine, dungeon, record label, film company, or any other similar entity, please take a $50 BUSINESS membership.
If you are a producer or promoter of a weekly clubnight, a dj, performer, or any other individual using the boards for publicity, feel free to take the $25 INDIVIDUAL membership.
These are prices PER YEAR.

Kudos to Chi Chi for all of her hardwork on creating these boards. It takes much toil and isn't free for her. We have to help maintain our community together in whatever ways we can. Of course linking to the Motherboards is helpful E but as far as a reciprocal link - you have just posted it above. This topic is about financial support of the boards. We actually get an enormous amount of traffic now - it is our server and scripting costs that board memberships help to pay.
