Hello nightcrawlers

This Sunday 2/24, Johnny Dynell and I are launching our new Last Sunday monthly @ LE ROYALE, the old Crazy Nanny's/Luke & Leroy space.

We would LOVE to see Motherboards folk, Jackie family, and all the rest. Full information follows.

This is a fairly early night, with House of Domination go-go beginning at 10:30 and shows at 11. Admission is free with the password (read down).

SUNDAY FEBRUARY 24
THE JACKIE FACTORY PRESENTS
THE JEWEL BOX
THE SUNDAY PARTY @ LE ROYALE
21 7TH AVE SOUTH (at LEROY ST)
FROM 10 PM
FREE FOR FACTORY GUESTS

JACKIE FACTORY producers CHI CHI VALENTI and JOHNNY DYNELL (JACKIE 60, MOTHER) turn their sights back to an intimate, glamorous stage this season with THE JEWEL BOX, a new monthly addiction at LE ROYALE. Expect jewel-like brilliance, much-needed feathers, beads, shows, and disco synths and a fabulously mixed crowd. Valenti and Dynell join compadres MR. PATRICK DUFFY and NICKY BALESTRIERI on Last Sundays at their newly transplanted THE SUNDAY PARTY. (This freaky-chic NYC weekly recently wrapped up a six year run at APT to move to LE ROYALE.) The venue, formerly CRAZY NANNY'S (!) and LUKE & LEROY, boasts Dynasty-tinged decor, a stage with excellent sightlines, reasonable drink prices, and a clubby feel.

THE JEWEL BOX was inspired by George Balanchine's dazzling ballet JEWELS, and takes one gemstone as its theme every month, inspiring shows, costuming and suggested dress. The series begins with "DIAMONDS", featuring guest performance artiste JULIE ATLAS MUZ, HOUSE OF DOMINATION beauties HEAVEN LEIGH, JESSICA RABBIT and VANGELINE DOMINATION and more (full show details in our next newsletter). DJ JOHNNY DYNELL provides the eclectic soundtrack and THE JACKIE MCs man the microphone. Performances begin at 10 PM and run through 1:30 AM, with Dynell playing till 4.

Admission is free with the gemstone password - DIAMONDS - and guests are urged to wear diamonds, white rhinestones, CZs or paste - dazzle us!

THE JEWEL BOX is every Last Sunday of the month, and the second edition RUBIES is on March 30.

This Sunday party is very cute.
It is basically the old APT. Sunday party moved to a new space.
If you were never at APT. on Sunday...
It's a mixed, trendy crowd. Lots of good hair cuts (gay) but lots of hot girls as well. Lots of Euro.
The music is really good house. REALLY good!

We are just doing the last Sunday every month as The Empress has said but the party is fun every Sunday.

Once an inventor of Jackie always an inventor of Jackie, I say. And it is so good to see you two putting this on.

I'm flyin back in to home from Dallas (don't ask) on Sunday so I may get there late but I'm sure you will still have more than enough fun left for me.

I used to love Sundays at APT lo those many years ago. Mr. Duffy is a doll. Will you be doing a special Seventh Avenue South remix of Amanda Lear's "Diamonds" Daddy? Excitant!

I was told there is a commemorative, gold plated 7 incher mounted at the door with an inscription describing the felony.

Not to drift off-topic, but a report on Flo's latest show would be appreciated...in her NYC girls topic of corpse!

Just picked up the fabulous feathers for tomorrow night, made by the uber-talented Amber Ray for our recent Barneys extravaganza. Love that Barneys is STILL subsidizing our art, fifteen years after the first Verbal Abuse launch in their downtown store.. yinyang and glad so many of you are planning to trek out.

To everyone who trundled out for last night's truncated Jewel Box - deepest thanks - cant believe who showed up - even Kitty Boots ! For those who didnt make it or ended up across the street or texting us in confusion - the club was shut down last night just as the first gorgeous set was in progress - 12:15.

We are as puzzled as anyone else, and as disappointed - but I know we'll have more info later and of course will post it here.

What a strange night.
Just as the girls took the stage we were shut down!
And it looked like it was shaping up to be a fun one too.
It was getting off to a late start with people arriving from Oscar parties etc. (Oscar night is always like that).
Then just as it was beginning, it ended.
(Just as seven walked in the door)

I wish everyone there stayed a few minutes longer though because after hanging in the street for a while, people took the party to a bar across the street and it was really fun.
As more and more of our people arrived and saw the club closed the party across the street grew.
Seen:
Mother Kitty Boots!!!!
Clark Render & David Ilku (Duelling Bankheads)
Hattie Hathaway aka Hattie Hathaway with a new hair cut.
Mr. & Mrs. Justin Bond and friends
seven
Mr. & Mr. Joe Birdsong Twist ("fresh" from having sex)
Sequinette and Glen Marla and Lady Fag
Dangerous Muse
"Arms" and entourage
Corvette & husband
Nicky Balestrieri & Mr. Patrick Duffy
Well, you get the idea.
Lots of "color".

Oh well, we looked ggood.

While the days of Old New York proffering 3 fine nightlife events per week worth attending seems long long gone, it's nice to see Johnny & Chi Chi coming to the rescue with this lovely once-a-monther. It's scary to think of NYC without the integrity of these two.

Come on out and show your support for this party! You'll be glad you did ...even if you have to drag yourself to work in the morning.

The girls were gorgeous!
Too bad they were only on for 15 minutes.

This Sunday I am playing at "Socialista".
That's Josh Wood's new party at The Riverview Hotel (Jane St. & West Side Highway)
It's early.
7PM - Midnight
I believe it's free.

God that photo is good. Burlesque on break. From their body positions you would never think they had all those feathers and rhinestones on. It's so fierce. Especially the one on the right with her tips flapping in the wind. Weeeerk!

Still no word on what happened? Was such a shame as it *was* just starting, I'd had a couple of glasses of champers, caught up with Kitty for the first time in ages, marveled over Chi Chi's head-to-toe platinum ensemble, and the girls had just gone on... Great to get a little House of D fix though!

I was in Paris a couple of weeks ago and went to The Crazy Horse for the first time. Quite a spectacle, but I have to say those girls have nothing on the House of D. The ladies at Crazy Horse are...not human. These French ladies would have been perfect at Click in a 'cybersluts are tireless' routine. I mean perfect bodies, perfect tits, perfect moves. They were robots. I was there to see Pam Anderson - who stood out gorgeously in stark contrast. She did a tribute to Brigitte Bardot, her "Harley Davidson" number atop a big bike and all. She was amazing. Even with all of her own artificiality, she was more real, sexier, more enticing than all the other girls who were 15+ years her junior. It's that same realness that makes Rabbit, Vangeline, Miss Horse et al so infinitely sexier. Hope Sunday's snafu was just that -- and that the Jewel Box will be back next month!
