Vangeline, MU... Yaseline was the gogo dancer at the 181st Street Tunnel.
Swoon was truly a fabulous opening: glass, sliding doors, retractable rooftops, the marching line of orchids in the loo-- and that was only the physical aspect!
Such a beautiful crowd... great to see all the Motherboarders out in full throttle. Sweetie's look made me swoon! And the show-- Sweetie's swingin' songbird tour-de-force and Basil's elegant and sophisticated silk scarf riding the air currents-- magnifico!
And it was so wonderful to beach myself in the smoking lounge by the Koi pool.
so sorry to have missed it. i had every intention of being there and hearing all this makes me wanna kick myself. my excuse: been working ALOT lately and my missus (*musQrat) likes to invite friends over for dinner at the last minute.... and she doesn't cook.
if i can untie the apron strings - and i mean MY OWN! - i'll be there next week.
congrats daddy and sweetie!!! but what else could we expect from you two?!?
To see so many of my beautiful friends in such beautiful outfits in such a beautiful space was a gorge treat indeed! Highlights include trying not to drown in the koi river with Hatches, playing with the laser that controls the glass entry doors with Basil, Chi Chi, Rose Royalle and Sweetie looking like the most glamorous of movie stars, and watching Mr. Twist's puppet pizza toss rendition. And of course waving from my car to my old gal pal Messy Bonnie in the tunnel on my way home. Congratulations on a fab party! I look forward to seeing y'all again there real soon!
Congrats for the hit Sweetie & Johnny ! liquidS wanted to show up and say hi, but we there were so many people that came to our show at The Living Room that we had to stay overthere to chat and all. Wish you all the best ! liquidS ----------------------------------------- Stay hydrated, everyone needs liquidS...
I had a blast! Although I did wonder about the dj booth. How did you manage to get records up there daddy?...I guess people use CDs to dj now. Great to see all the people I hadn't seen in ages, and all the new ones. It really reminded me of the Versailles room for some reason. Liked the space a lot, but I can't wait for them to remove the nylon tarp on the 2nd floor so it becomes open air...I'm sure that will be gorgeous on balmy NY nights! Congratulations Daddy and Sweetie, sounds and looks like a hit.
