Goodie Magazine Presents:
Issue No. 31: Hank O’Neal
Free Admission
“Lee Wiley, Djuna Barnes, Berenice Abbott, Eddie Condon: the list of Hank O’Neal’s pals is a who’s who of the most thrilling characters in the great Drama of New York. He’s a renaissance man of pictures, songs and some rather awkward modern dancing. And it’s all thanks to the CIA.”
--From the Goodie website
Tonight’s the much-anticipated kick-off party for Goodie magazine’s most recent issue featuring the incredible Hank O’Neal who, through the years, has photographed just about all of our musical and literary influences and has also produced some very fine records in his Broadway studio. Let me put it this way… it was at Hank’s studio that I met William Burroughs and Wendy Carlos on the same evening!
Goodie magazine is the ‘zine that continues to give all of us, at Rapture Café & Books, hope, as each square inch of our beloved city becomes fodder for the developer’s wrecking ball. Come by and pick up a copy of Goodie and realize that the cultural brilliance of New York is not yet extinct!
