Carol Moseley Braun is the only Presidential Candidate that I have heard speak of the rights of Transgendered individuals. I haven't heard any of the others even utter the "T" word, and I've been watching the Democratic Candidates debates, or listening to them on WNYC AM. Ms. Braun has been backed by NOW. She always speaks very graciously and with keen inteligence. She brings a fresh perspective and philosophy to the discussion. She speaks of an America that learns how to work well with others, working together with the nations of the world.

She says that she is going to remove the "Men Only" sign from the White House. Maybe she won't actually be the one to do this, but she's helping to pave the way for someone to do that in the future, and bringing a much needed perspective to the dialogue. I feel really good about wearing her Campaign button on the shoulder strap of my purse. I can say I stand behind all of the ideas that she has brought forward, and I think that it's about time we had more grace and civility and respect for others coming from the White House, or at least within the campaign dialogue. I'm tired of mean, greedy men running things. It's about time we had loving and caring women calling the shots.
