Hi,

I am 26 year old guy from the UK who is visting NYC in a few months time & I want to do a bit TV/CD/TS chasing while in NYC, which bars & clubs should I vist?

Hi Spence, and welcome!
Keep checking the NYC Nightclubs & Events Forums for the latest updates; many of New York's hottest parties for T/G "admirers" are the "mixed" ones, which are Gay, Lesbian, T/G and Str8-friendly. Some which come to mind are High Life/Lowlife, and Charm School. It's best to keep checking though, because NYC nightlife is very mercurial!
There are a few, and only a few, T/G, C/D, and T/S-only parties in town these days. Sad but true. We will be updating those listings in the QM Forums in the next few months, so keep your eyes peeled.

I aggree. The Mixed parties are by far the best. TG parties are nightmarish to me.

Also try to search the archives on these forums, though some of the venues may already be out of date. Sorry I can't be of better help. I totally ignore TG parties.

All joking aside Spence, the general rule of thumb for NYC clubs is this:
Large, mostly str8 clubs which feature dancing tend to discourage sneakers, baggy jeans and baseball caps.
Smaller Downtown places that may or may not have a mixed clientele are much more relaxed and comfortable, and you can dress more casually.
Strictly T/G-And-Their-Admirers parties, will permit anything from business attire to jeans but will probably make sure that you know what kind of party it is, before you enter.
