Picked up Nellie Mckay's Pretty Little Head. Haven't listened to it as I've been listening to Sweeney Todd in my iPod as well as the Broadway version of Tommy (as good as the original album if not better!) and now I'm listening to The Best of Club 69 Last night I bought underwear for myself and had Let Me Be Your Underwear in my head and later the iPod as well as NIN's Pretty Hate Machine and of course I had to listen to The Downward Spiral. I was on the bus when I got to Closer that and the fact that the bus was bouncing around so much it kinda gave me a hard-on! HE HE!
Some of the best music is sometimes like that at first? You're not sure if you like it but it is intriguing and the more you listen the more your opinions change.
I listened to both La Boheme and Rent last night(an overkill of bohemianism!), The first two acts of Boheme take place on Christmas Eve as does the entire first act of Rent. Interestingly enough the film version of Rent spread out the action of the first act of the Stage version over the week from Christmas Eve to New Year's... Hope that made sense.
I know I am the boy in dah bubble but I just discovered "Nerina Pallot" she did an accoustic session on Janice Longs BBC Radio 2 show tonight that was just stunning. http://www.bbc.co.uk/radio2/shows/long/ You can listen again to tonight Tues 26th Show again). If you are a lover of Joni Mitchell, Steely Dan and Kate Bush check out Nerina. I just googled her and she's so beautiful too! Is she popular in the States too and I just don't know it... quite possible? Although I couldn't find her on itunes?

The Donmar Warehouse version of Threepenny Opera is in my possession and I love it, much better than the Blitzstein version. Lots of techno, techno, bloody techno, darling, and am loving the re-release of Goldenboy's album with Miss Kittin, "Or"
Apoptygma Berzerk (sounds like a slang term for an orgasm), U2 New Year's Day, Ella Fitzgerald --What Are You Doing New Years Eve, And some house music, including old Chicago tracks that were mixed for a CD I bought recently.
I'm listening to music non-stop (what eles is new right?)
My Bloody Valentine keeps blowing my pretty head apart (Loveless and Glider are in heavy rotation), as well as the new KMFDM remasters and reissues---the ones in question are UAIOE, Naive, Money, and Angst, all slices of industrial rock goodness The QAF soundtracks are also turning me out! and the new U2 singles disc, but if you by it there are some glaring omissions that I would have chosen in a heartbeat over some of the others
I have been listening to Janet....Miss Jackson if you're nasty! (I love her, I do, love her and her tits!) I have also been listening to Hello Goodbye (emo indie rock goodness meets up with synth action on a few tracks) Underworld The techno group (newly uploaded into the ole iPod), Soakin Wet Vol. 2 (circuit party shit, but it ain't shit if you get my drift), Ultra Dance 08 (Good ole lowbrow poppy techno), My Verve Remixed CDs Vol. 2 and 3, Chemical Brothers, Panic! at the Disco ( the band name is so Morrissey, but the music is only so-so) Global Undergrounds by Sasha and Paul Oakenfold, and the Queer As Folk soundtracks...
