Artecoll is the product, and it's fabulous- did my lips with it. It's unique in 2 ways:
1. It is permanent(if you want it removed it has to be scrape out)
2. After the intial swelling goes down- it may seem like the product didn't work- but it takes up to anywhere from 2-4 months to see the full results. It takes time for your body to create it's own collegen that adheres to the microsperes in the artecoll. I like this better because it's subtle, and you get the fabulous results but it's just seems- you're gonna laugh- but more natural.

my plastic surgeon is using Radiance to fill in laugh lines. today i am going to see two people who work for him and he is working on at 2:00 p.m.
they just got the product in and if they look good i will have it done tomorrow. this is supposed to last up to 5 years and be instant with no recovery time. i'll let you know.

also, i got a tube of StriVectin-SD. i am using it on my face instead of botox. i just started but my skin feels and looks great. it was produced to repair stretch marks.

dr. senderoff has a new lazer hair removal system too. i had it done friday and there was no reaction. they do 6 sessions at 7 to 10 weeks apart and will guarantee it will stay hair free for 2 years.
this pic was taken yesterday.

she just needs a good moisturizer.
i went to the plastic surgeon today. i'm not having the radiance tomorrow because i lost 12.5 pounds last month. my insurance won't pay for the steroids now and they are over $1000.00 a month. what to do, what to do?
i did see the two people he worked on and i was very excited, they looked really great.

so i just got some botox and went to eat a huge dinner. lol

Hi- have you checked your e-mail? I'm just wondering because i sent you the price list for Artecoll kits and other products that are not readily available here in the states. You can order them direct from the company - I'm not selling anything, i'm just letting you in on how to have the stuff delivered to your home without the hassle of "smuggling", compliments of fedex, and as long as you have someone to do the injections- you'll be set.The bonus is, you pay the same price for the product as the docs do, so you get a good price without the plastic surgeon's markup.

i don't know!!!
i was there with the doctor and the rep. from radiance and it is really complicated. you have to numb the area first because it is very painful.

call me an old lady but i don't do discount plastic surgery.

Pulmon medical is one of the main companies that suppy plastic surgeons world wide, from implants (breast) to injections: Artecoll, juvederm,Fineline,Restylane, Perlane.I just don't believe (and can't afford) dropping any change down for something that will not last for as long as I desire it to,so I prefer the products that have been used for years in other countries and that everyone travels to get-only I order mine. But I did not mean to imply that people let anyone do a botch job on them or that they do it themselves,(I am comfortable with doing my own, but my husband's a doctor, so my situation is a bit different). There are people who have a trust with thier surgeons and even if the product is not fda approved stateside, and the patient supplies the product, the doc will do the injection.
By the way - have you tried EMLA cream? I do not like unnecessary pain either and can be a wimp when it comes to my face (you are far from being an old lady- Puhleazze, I saw your photo- lovely skin!) Any way I found out about EMLA from my little girl's plastic surgeon ( I have to give her injections at her temple and you know how sensitive and thin the skin is there and she's only 2 years old! so I tried EMLA cream for myself - it's about $70.00 for a 30 gram tube
( contents:lidocaine & prilocaine) and it's very effective.

GiGi,
i'm sorry i didn't mean that as an attack at all. i had no idea your husband was a doctor.
BTW: what is EMLA? i have never used it.
this is from the new york magazine artical re: plastic surgeons.
Gerald Imber, a well-respected cosmetic surgeon who caters to a good chunk of New York society, tells how he recently got a call from a physician in Los Angeles, asking if he would be good enough to remove stitches from one of his patients who had received a hair transplant and would be in New York. "I looked into who this doctor was, and he turned out to be an eye doctor," says the incredulous Imber. "The best part was that he asked me not to steal his patient."

i found this amusing.

I didn't mean to sound like a defensive snot.I suggested EMLA cream to you because it's an effective analgesic, if you are sensitive to needles, or don't like needles, it numbs the area before you get an injection. You rub a small amount on the area and about 20 min. you won't feel a thing.

I was reading PAPER mag this AM on the subway and read in amazement Dennis Dermody's article on purse's made of pilfered celebrity skin. Apparently this person (who used to be a leather tanner) pays off nurses and technicians in hospitals and clinics in LA, and there is a high demand for these accessories tanned with Raquel Welch's excess facial skin, or Michael Jackson's nose, or whomever else you would like to pay top dollar to sport around a pocketbook adorned with dead excised skin.

In all honesty, I thought it was a parody, but something tells me that it may not be...

Interesting read definitely -in this month's issue.

even if you don't get any work done this summer, do turn in to ABC's scary reality show Extreme Makeover. and if you do want some work, well there is hope. These joes get the plastic surgery of their dreams- and end up going from dreary and drab with some sad cosmetic deformity to drop dead gorg! so if you have a tale of woe about your looks, applying for this show is a way to get it all, and in 6 weeks!...facial surgery, teeth fixed, liposuction, boob jobs, personal training, etc. The trade off is you do so for millions of tv viewers who watch as you go through the looking glass...
