It depends on what you want done...adding something or taking it away? I have friend who went to Mexico in August to have her tits and jaw done. Her tits are gorg (good work in my opinion), and her jaw was pretty flawless. You cannot even see the scars now and he shaved it down majorly, and it totally fixed her profile. She flew back after 5 days and laid low for about 10 days and then went back to work.

Same thing for a friend (read old trick) who had an silicone implant done at the same time he had his nose done several years ago, and his jaw looks great...changed his face for the better- made him look more rugged, which on a boy from the Bronx made him look all the better. He said it was 2 weeks for the nose and jaw together before he went back to work.

Where there is a will there is a way...

I just got this mail back from my pal......."I will get it to you before the end of the day. My friend just came back she had liposuction and the doctor cut her bunions and gave her a surgical manicure at no extra cost. Breast and Liposuction cost no more than $2000. He is incredible, the hospital is very clean and the nurses really take care of you. The food is all home made and the juice are freshly squeezed. There's women and men from all over the world to share their stories with you while you are in the hospital. The only thing about it is the pain, luckly they give you pain killers and antibiotic shots. It's about an 8hour plane ride there.
I'm planning to go back for someother things as soon as I get money".

- < what is a surgical manicure > i await the phone/web/contact info and will post it up as soon as she sends it to me.... might be off there meself for a tuck and lift!!!

His name is Dr. Luis G. Morales from Quito, Ecuador
Hospital 546-057
527-400 or 567-379 I'm sorry I don't have the international dial codes for
Quito, Ecuador.

For what is worth I could not get through his old website however, if you go to
www.rdyec.net you might find his name somewhere.

Plastered across the news is poor Michael Jackson with his battered collapsed face. Did anyone see the horror of it? I was at the gym and audibly gasped and my own jaw dropped while the camera zoomed in on his surgically taped nose while in court. It looks like putty with pancake makeup on it. He really looked frightful. That is plastic surgery gone wrong. I have to say that now was not the best time for me to see that as I countdown the days till mine...

Supposedly he doesn't even have a nose any more. It's a robot nose that snaps on and off. It apparently fell off while shooting a video when Michael did one of his famous spins. A quick acting assistant recovered it.
Is this true?
Of course it is!

And as Chi Chi says, Thank God Amanda doesn't have his unlimited budget".

seeing michael jackson is a buzzkill. i am so frightened of him. randella, you could NEVER look like that jackson thing. yuck!

thank you for the info anna! i am starting my search today!

my mother announced last night, after a few glasses of pinot grigio, that she "wanted perky, 18 year old boobs and a flat tummy," so hopefully she will be funding my jaw surgery.

i cannot wait to see you after the surgery, randella. i think you were perfect from the start, but if it makes you happy, go for it!

Well, it seems now I have to wait as well. My surgery was bumped due to scheduling issues, so now it is next week...which actually for some reason is better for me. Everything works out for a reason, I guess. Now I have time to do the things necessary beforehand that I couldn't get to this week (laundry, cleaning my apt, get food, etc). And with this change, I actually get a longer recovery period away from work, b/c now I will take the whole week after Thanksgiving off.

In line with the karma of it all, my grandmother very peacefully transitioned to be with my grandfather last week after a long full life, and I got a check in the mail yesterday with a letter from her. Well, now my nose is paid for, instead of me having to put it on credit. With it was a letter about her philosophy of life (one reason why I admired her as she was the most accepting and ethical person), and then I realized that this her gift to me was for something to make me happy. In addition, it made this situation right in the ethical sense for me, so I didn't have to get into more debt to do something I really want to do, but don't necessarily have to, since it is an really is an elective procedure.

I think I have gotten over the horror and shock of seeking the mad bad jacko's face. It really was a bit much and at the wrong time for me...but after reading the history of his face (thank you Minerva- great presentation of the whole sordid saga), I realized that he has had a LOT of work...too much. He should have stopped back in the mid 80s, which was the last time he even looked good. And the sad thing is that he has children, what are they gonna think as they get older and start to understand what a freak he is?

hey Ill chime in on surgery - having had heavy orthodontia against my will when I was a child (of course, Im grateful now!) I saw Courtney Love on Howard Stern recently -- she was talking about some heavy duty dental work/ orthodontic surgery she'd had in Atlanta that recreated her "bite" and has given her a whole new look - she quotd something crazy like $180,000 - which is what Id charge her - but anyways - some more research might get you the whole skinny.

ps - post more before and after shots so us lurkers can see the work!

Apparently it is not just for Pete Burns only...this taken from this past week' New York Magazine.

quote:
Just when we'd gotten used to smearing animal placenta on our faces, along comes TNS, a cream made from - brace yourself - baby foreskin. Jars of the stuff are flying off shelves at plastic surgeons' and dermatologists' offices.

What does it (ostensibly) do? Tissue, cloned from a foreskin, has been made into a gel containing human-growth factors, which are said to stimulate collagen growth and elasticity. The cream "smells a bit funky, but that goes away within seconds, and the skin feels firm and tighter," testifies Michele Sabino, an aesthetician who works with Manhattan plastic surgeons Gerald Imber and Robert Silich. A month's supply costs $130.

"Everybody wants to have skin like a baby," says Amy Colton, who markets the elixir. And as the only easily available baby skin, foreskin was an obvious source. But have no fear about a black market. "It's not from many little penises. Only one was cloned," explains Sabino.

Just go to Santo Domingo and get the real thing! It smells a little funky at first but it goes away in a few days. Ask Princess Diandra.

nothing you put on your face is going to do a thing for you. trust me, I used to work for La Prairie! it all happens layers below the skin's surface where no baby dermas/ caviar concoction will reach. true - stuff like alphahydroxy will exfoliate - almost to the point of mutilation - very little can be done with topical cremes or salves. if you're one of the millions who buy chemical cremes in hopes of actually looking younger - you're buying a dream, a myth of beauty that isnt real. if it makes you feel better (and hence, more lovely) more power to ya. but you might as will go get a bottle of sweet almond or jojoba oil for a fraction of the cost. Frankly, I think the best youth elixir for most ladies is panstick.

well, it's done, and went remarkably smoothly. I stayed overnight in the hospital, and was pleased to see that the nurses knew what they were doing and took good care of me. I look like my face was run over, but actually relatively ok considering what was involved. Though in between ice packs, my thanksgiving dinner consisted of soup, ice cream, and generous helpings of vicodin. I go on Monday to have the splint & stitches removed...meanwhile laying very low.

but i do think i feel well enough today to make some brownies...
