my fascination with surgy squares continues, and i don't need to listen at all, but Chaka Khan is pulled SO tight giving Mother Flawless effect, and Queen Latifah looks great, especially when she smiles...she smoothed out those rough edges somehow...
So yesterday had to have some cavities filled, and my dentist couldn't get me numb. After 3 injections, it finally all worked. So when she was done, I went to use the bathroom, and in the mirror- oh my god- the whole right side of my face had dropped (like never before due to so much anesthetic at the cranial nerve)- my nose, cheek, and right side of my mouth all responded to gravity. Total stroke face, but that crease between the nose and mouth was completely gone on the right side. I loved it momentarily, till i really took in the whole view...and then I told myself...don't give yourself any ideas...

once her eyes settled...
but total kudos to a media darling talking openly about her surgy experience, right?

Went to Escuelita last night for some fun and the show. It was Angel's usual cast of girls rolling in tips tips tips, plus Victoria Lace, who I have not seen in a while. She looks great, and it was not just contouring applique. I bumped into her after the show and tipsily told her so. Her response, "I age well." Yes, Zsa Zsa- exercise & diet, yes... We didn't have the opportunity for me to inquire as to specifics, but my professional guess is nose, eyes, teeth...but gorgeous work!

Ok, now just saw Burt Reynolds on surgy squares last night, and he is rapidly approaching the Phyllis Diller/Joan Rivers spin on surgery...scary.
And what was with the lighting for Michael Jackson's press conference...illuminated in that ethereal way (trying to look angelic is he, the baby dangler? the courtroom devil mimicker?) and more likely, so as not to see the surgical tape holding his nose in place?

I was getting some work done last spring and basically searched everything out myself-which one should do anyway-but it would have been nice to have someone to talk too. And people in the mid-west are SO uptight about surgery no-one ever wants to admit to having anything DONE! Not me! I had my breasts done and I love it because every one (even Silky Jumbo) thought they were real!so of course I love to tell everyone that they were my birthday present(s)! I also did artecoll injections in my lips, (it's a nice product but beads easily if not done perfectly or injected too deep). I did get some beading, interesting thing with aretcoll, at least with me, if I want instant Amanda lips, I can massage my lips before applying my make-up and they plump up to a max size and will last that way 'till the wee hours. I am thinking of ordering some Restylane to smooth things out, like the beading- also for a mini frown line I'm devoloping. I wanted to thank Michael Ford for the suggestion of Mederma, I 'm using that with 4% hydroquine and it's working beautifully on my "problem" spots. It's harder for my scars or any discoloration to fade because of my pigmentation, that is why I use the 4% hydroquine, but that only takes care of the hyperpigmentaion- and the Mederma is definately smoothing things out (I have tiny little-but raised- scars in my armpits from my boob job!) Thanks! Gigi (I do rattle on don't I? Oh! and Randella- I think you are the too wonderful! Beauty, cultured and brains- what else can you ask for?) http://gigilucky13.homestead.com/bunny.html

Everybody here seems to have had "work done" so my question is does anyone know of any doctors in Dominican republic. I want to take a vacation out there and stay in my homegirl's house where shes got maids galore. I figure I can get something done and lay up there for while when healing.

I have not had anything done(yet) thus far (although for some reason people believe I've had a nose job.. and I let them) however, is the best way to find a good cosmetic surgeon through word of mouth? Looking for one through the internet is kind've funky. BTW I know silicone injections to the lips is like a ticking time bomb, anybody can spread alittle more light on that. Amanda i need your wisdom, are you around sweetums?
