Well, looks like I'll have the last word!
They've pushed my slot to the end of the hour - approximately 1:50 - 2 PM so I will close it out. The whole hour sounds really interesting - its all kind of cultural perspectives on WTC, including ours (nightclub).

Chi Chi--
After all these weeks, I finally caught up to this interview (missed it live, on air) ... Totally floored to hear your name, Daddy's and that of "Daddy" repeatedly on NPR's "special report"! So surreal (as you referenced in the interview) especially now, with... going on four months' perspective... I actually listened to a lot of the newscast before forwarding ahead to your bit...everyone was still talking of an uncertain mayoral race, the media went on and on with that "end of irony" story...we were still going to Daddy, seems so far away now... But by the looks of it, the explosion of creativity that you predicted in September is coming to fruition, what with the enormously enjoyable PTM and the Very Jack the Ripper Christmas, which blew my socks off... Here's to an even more (imaginatively)explosive 2002... --Michael

Ted n Di are apparently featured in a french TV special.
Our source in the Uk tells us:
quote: ____________________________________________ "We are just one part of a show which includes all sorts of other stuff. There's an interview with Larry Flynt, some porno stuff, etc., etc. However, we get quite a big segment of the show
French TV is generally awful so, although the show appears rather amateurish, this is actually top quality in France. It was shown on their most popular channel and had the highest ratings for that evening across the whole of France
I will try to get some copies made and I will send one to you. We use the international PAL system for video and not the American NTSC system does your VCR play PAL? (Most good Japanese VCRs will play both)
The reason that I make such a point of this is that you and Ted are both featured. Next time you visit Paris, expect to be mobbed in the street. (That is, if you wear your rubber outfits.)"

Imagine the odds, that the reporter was there on the very day that their check came in. I would love to see the faces on the Afghan women when Glamour Goblin's picture invite arrived!
So proud of Rob and Kitty for this great night which turned out to be the last Click (at FUN, anyway!)

Lead picture of the Bizbash.com report on our NYPL event - Magic of Movie Musicals - is Motherboards Mod Randella - as Debbie Reynolds, with Eli, in Singin In The Rain. She wears those bright solids so well! http://www.bizbash.com/content/editorial/e2070.asp

Forgive me if I don't get this exactly right, as I left the magazine somewhere, so I am paraphrasing from memory.
My former neighbors and Sherry Vine's former NYC roommates were in bold type in the Intelligencer section of New York Magazine last week. Erik Jackson and Joshua Rosenzwieg have apparently charmed Stephen King with their script for Carrie, and apparently he is letting them put together a Theatre Couture production of Carrie which will probably be far more successful and entertaining than the Broadway bomb from years ago (which I believe hit records for stinkiest and costliest production). Also in bold face type was "Patricia Field designer David Dalrymple" who will be doing the costumes. Good for them...
Will Sherry get to maim the prom-goers or scream about the shame of dirty pillows?

[DJ Delchi intended this post originally for this topic, so on behalf of him, here it is - Minerva] Recently interviewed for " Featured Artist of the month" at http://in-nyc.comThe interveiw is Here They snipped and clipped, but the majority of it survived ... to include this little snippet : "Mother was the most aptly named club I have ever visited. The first time I went to Mother was to see Voltaire many, many moons ago, during the run of "Click and Drag." When you don't grow up in NYC, and you hear the stories, read the books, and dream the dreams of glamorous nightclubs in the big city where anything goes, you wonder if any such places truly exist. Mother was the defining location for the era, and to this day is still the de facto alternative club that all are compared against. This does not mean it was some urban utopia - far from it. Like any club it had good days, drama days, bad hair days -- and every one of them was perfect. You truly rubbed elbows with legends. I never truly felt I was a DJ in NYC until the night Johnny Dynell walked up to me in the DJ booth at Mother and said "You're alright." Truly, the staff and management of Mother gave me the support and critique that I needed as a green DJ, and I will always remember that. "
