I'm not really sure how this happened but...
Thursdays at NOWHERE (322 E. 14th St. between 1st & 2nd Ave.) have turned into a really fun "Transie Party".
There are Straight Cross Dressers, Transexuals, Drag Queens, Lesbians, Fags, Curious Straights...
well, let's just say every color of the rainbow.
It's gorgeous.

I don't know exactly what to call this party because like most great things, it has sort of formed all by itself and is turning into something really special that defies a name or category.

Jet, the owner of NOWHERE, was one of the promoters of the infamous "CLIT CLUB" (Friday Night Girlz party @ MOTHER). And like MOTHER did, NOWHERE offers the "Girls" a safe, fun place to get dressed and carry on.

If you have never been to NOWHERE, it is a small-ish, cozy bar. Imagine "Cheers" with people that you really want to "know their name" (and get their numbers).

Aldo is one of the best DJs anywhere and has been silent for much too long.

Now...
My favorite Aldo story (there are many).

One time at MOTHER, Aldo was playing for some party (who can remember which one) and the promoter (some kid) came up on stage to thank "DJ Load Rezenhand" (an anagram for Aldo Hernandez) for the great music.
He obviously didn't quite get the name because he introduced him respectfully as "DJ Lord Raisin Head".

I checked out your photos Brielle Whitney and I loved them. It looked like a really great time. I'm thinking about checking out Nowhere. I've never really been to a place like that and I'm a bit nervous any advice lol.
Sounds stupid I know but I'm a girl who's interested in the drag lifestyle.

I went to Nowhere about a month ago. The DJ was great as was the crowd. I will definitely go back next time I am in New York
