I am delighted to welcome you to a forum that has been in the works for awhile, and the post-New Year's calm has given us the time to get it together.

The Motherboards is home to so many great and/or prolific writers, voracious readers and insightful culture critics. So in a sense this forum began years ago, in topics like "bibliophile" and "verbal abuse/the poetry" and of course, "JC Leroy". We've booted in these everpopular discussions, and a host of writerly stuff from across The Boards. I'm sure a few topics got overlooked, so if you come across one that hasn't been moved in, just hit the caution sign icon and we'll take a look.

We welcome discussions by and about writers of every stripe, books, blogs, magazines, words, and the process of writing and publishing. Writers are welcome to start topics for their works, either finished or in progress.

A special welcome to those wonderful wordsmiths and poets who have been our own community of writers now since the Verbal Abuse readings. May you write long, and prosper.
